Regional Seminar: New York City/Northern New Jersey

Prof. Hadley Arkes will lead a day and a half seminar that explores the American Founders’ understanding of the first principles of our law, and the moral grounds of their own rights. Participants hear lectures and engage in discussions concerning the fundamentals of Natural Law reasoning, and how it can be brought to bear on the pressing issues of law and public policy facing the nation today. The iconic cases of American legal history are viewed through the Natural Law lens which may present an entirely new view of the law to practitioners. A panel of judges will initiate a question and answer period after each lecture.

The Seminar, amounting to 5 hours of instruction, is thus equivalent to 7.5 CLE credit hours, including 4 ethics hours, pending New York and New Jersey state approval.
