In Memoriam: Judge Stephen Williams
By The James Wilson Institute • Posted on Aug 13 2020

JWI mourns the loss of our good friend, scholar, and deeply influential member of the bench, Judge Stephen Williams. Judge Williams was always a joy to be around, whether it was his participation in JWI conferences, his marvelous opinions on the D.C. Circuit, or just seeing him at our unofficial home the University Club where he was a member, we remember all the moments spent with Judge Williams fondly.  He leaves behind him a generation of clerks who carry on his work. His opinions and published books are with us to be read anew. Though Judge Williams has passed, his loving memory and intellectual footprint will remain for some time.
