On Saturday, April 2, the Institute had the pleasure of hosting a seminar for 19 talented law students from law schools in the D.C. area. Prof. Arkes taught on the basics of Natural Law Jurisprudence and the legal foundation of moral reasoning established by our Founding Fathers, and attendees discussed how men such as Lincoln applied Natural Law to the most pressing legal issues of their day—and how we might follow their example. The conversation lasted into the evening, as participants continued to exchange ideas during our group dinner. Attendees came from law schools including George Mason University, Georgetown, Catholic University of America, and George Washington University.
