Marcella is currently a 2nd year associate at Akin Gump in Houston, Texas, where she was named “Houston Pro-Bono Associate of the Year” and ranked top three associate firm-wide. This year she will clerk for Justice Don Willett of the Texas Supreme Court. She took her J.D. from University of Houston Law Center where she served as editor of both the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy and the Houston Law Review, and she took her B.A. from Texas A&M University. She’s a deputy finance director of the Texas GOP, a co-chair of the Houston MavPAC chapter, and a board member of the Houston Federalist Society. She serves the Vatican on the board of the Pontifical Council of Culture and the New Evangelization, and she is a past member of the USCCB National Advisory Committee.
