Mr. Crofton is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Philadelphia Trust Company, managing equity and fixed income portfolios for individuals, foundations, endowments, Taft-Hartley plans, public and corporate pension plans and insurance company portfolios.
Prior to founding The Philadelphia Trust Company he was a Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager, and member of the portfolio review committee at Rittenhouse Financial Services, Inc. Mr. Crofton also served as a Senior Vice President of the United States Trust Company where he managed mutual funds, institutional and individual assets and oversaw the trading, portfolio management and analytical staffs. Mr. Crofton serves on numerous corporate and eleemosynary boards including J. J. White Inc, Saucon Mutual Insurance Co., The James Madison Institute of Princeton University, The Witherspoon Institute and The Faith and Reason Institute. He also serves on the Board of Catholic Social Services and sits on Finance Council of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Michael G. Crofton is a graduate of Lenigh University and resides in Laverock, PA with his wife and children. He lectures widely on fiduciary issues and is a frequent guest on radio and television programs. Last but not least, Mr. Crofton is a Papal Knight, having been awarded the Order of the Holy Sepulcher and the Order of Malta by the Vatican.
